    i was 23 60kgs(prebaby weight) no real problems just a low platelet count during pregancy(was seeing doctors every week with the low platelet count) had swelling of the ankles towards the end (middle of a hot! summer jan 08) then during labour my i had protien in the urine and my bp rocketed then i swelled up big time. Prolonged 2nd stage so as i wasn’t doing pushing to well i had an hour to give it my all before they steped in Ventouse extract. Baby and my self were fine right after the birth

    I think that it’s worth noting that preeclampsia often comes to pregnant women who hit NONE of the indicators (over 40, existing blood pressure problems, high BMI, etc). That was me. Regardless, I developed this disease very quickly and had to deliver my daughter early. One indicator of preeclampsia that is not mentioned in this video is PROTIEN IN THE URINE. Prenatal visits (including urine tests at each visit) often detect preeclampsia before it can cause further harm to mother or baby.
