Andrew Bokor, MD, chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Grant Medical Center, was interviewed for a story about updated weight gain guidelines for pregnant women issued by the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies. He recommends that expectant mothers eat a balanced diet and to continue exercising during pregnancy and cautions that despite the new guidelines, women should not diet while pregnant.
