Why am I having such difficulty getting pregnant? get pregnant faster? I began taking Clomid some time ago. I became pregnant last January, but miscarried in April. I have been taking Clomid again for about 7 months, but have not yet gotten pregnant. I am really discouraged. This time of year is difficult, especially, when I see so many families with their new babies. Has anyone else had this experience? get pregnant faster? How do I get through this and what is my next step?
I’m not sure how long it should take to get pregnant. In regards to best chances of getting pregnant, I stopped guessing and started applying ideas and tips based on a book my neighbor has given me below. Its a guide helping you walk through the whole pregnancy process including best chances of getting pregnant you were mentioning. I did it and I’m currently 4 weeks pregnant and my husband is already out planning to build a room for the baby.

So sorry for your loss.
Have you had any tests done to check your progesterone level? I went through the same…had a miscarriage, did a few rounds of clomid to no avail, and haven’t gotten pregnant since.
I know how discouraging it can be. It is extremely difficult for me as well, since next month will be 3 yrs since we found out we were pregnant, and still don’t have a little one.
I would encourage you to ask your dr for more tests. Also consider a hsg to make sure your tubes are clear.
I wish you all the best, and hope you get pregnant soon with a healthy baby.

I’m a bit confused, you say you have been trying for 4 months but been on Clomid for 7 months? First, I would definitely go back to your doctor as I have heard that doctor’s don’t usually keep you on Clomid for more than 6 months. Also, if you are on Clomid what other types of testing did you have done? Are you charting your ovulation days and temps? As one of the other posters wrote I would also get the HSG test done to check your tubes (I just had mine done yesterday, not a pleasant experience but I was able to see that my tubes are clear). And if you do have this test done they say you will be more fertile for the next 3 months (I am really hoping it is true). Anyway, I would start by going back to your doctor. Also, (and I know this is hard) try to relax, stress doesn’t help. Sending lots of baby dust your way.
