I’m 36 weeks pregnant with twins and in the last week or so I have been having SEVERE difficulty breathing when I lie down. I get really short of breath and I have woke up in the night gasping for air.
I know that shortness of breath is normal during pregnancy because they are pushing up on your lungs but I have never had this issue before and surely waking up gasping for breath isn’t normal!
Thoughts? =(
I have a doc appt monday so i’m going to ask then.
If you have a small torso, and you’re almost full term with TWINS, yes! It is normal. It’ll be over with in 4 weeks…
But for women with small torso’s, there’s only so much space in your body! Think of all your organs already in side of you, now place two 6 pound babies in there! Talk it over with your doctor, but you should be fine.

I delt with the exact same thing while i was pregnant with my twins, and i ended up having to sleep propped up, and it seemed to help greatly.
My doc told me that it’s completely normal esp. with twins or more.
Hope this helps and good luck,
