   Doesn't it seem like women are getting the butt end of life?
   I mean, with pregnancy, periods, breasts and whatnot. Society has also set some fairly rigid rules about how women should look and behave. I’m glad that times have changed and that women have more freedom and opportunity than before. But I have to admit, when I get my period, I sometimes wish men could get it just once and see what it’s like before making any more PMS jokes. And I think pregnancy is one of the most unfair deals in life. We get to get fat, stop drinking, get morning sickness, and go through labor? Oh, gosh.

   Not that I don’t think it’s great to be a woman. I think women are beautiful, and the ability to provide life to another human being always amazes me. And there are a lot of inspirational women that I look up to.

   Anyway, hope I didn’t sound like a whiny brat. It’s just been something I’ve been thinking about. Any insight?

   I don’t mind getting my period. Yes guys don’t have to deal with the blood or pain, but they also don’t get that amazing connection women get with their baby during pregnancy or breast feeding. I wouldn’t give it up.

   And guys do have rigid rules on how they act. If they are too sensitive or feminine they are called gay, they can only wear pants whereas women can where both skirts and pants, and half the time they are expected to buy things for women, be the strong one when shit gets thrown in their face, not cry, etc. Fuck, I wouldn’t want to be a man.

   I’m sure a lot of people will praise you for thinking about this and I am not taking the whole matter as a joke, but have you ever watched south park the show? men can get something similar to a temporary period. like the virus which leaks nasty, chunky, weird blood out of your poo whole. i mean in south park they shoved tampons up there and used maxi-pads but if you were to get this, would you do that? i think i would rather stick around near the toilet and keep toilet paper in my pants.

   as for everything else a woman deals with, that is why there is a such thing as a real gentleman. this is why men are supposed to respect women. i can completely agree on many aspects this does not happen all the time (or most of the time) but remember this; if a guy generally hits a woman for any reason, the most common result is that guy getting beat down by any decent man who hears of it.
