Husband and I are having difficulties getting pregnant.?

I began taking Clomid some time ago. I became pregnant last January, but miscarried in April. I have been taking Clomid again for about 7 months, but have not yet gotten pregnant. I am really discouraged. This time of year is difficult, especially, when I see so many families with their new babies. Has anyone else had this experience? How do I get through this and what is my next step? Its stressful having difficulties getting pregnant.

I was TTC, and I sound exactly like you. From what I’ve been told by my friends with children is to open up and try safe alternative health specialist. the source below was what they recommended so it might be able to help you.

I’ve applied this method 6 months ago and guess what? My husband and I are going to baby’s r us prepping for our baby. We ended up with a healthy baby girl. Baby dust to you. Let me know how it works out.

did you see a fertility specialist? If not, maybe you should, and if you did, maybe it’s time to change the course of your therapy and do something else.

Yes, were trying for two years and got nowhere until we found a natural way to stimulate ovulation that worked for us. Send me Answers email if you want me to send you our story about it.

Clomid is a drug used to stimulate ovulation I think so has your doctor done testing that shows you have ovulation issues? I know that might be a dumb question but I sometimes think doctors just push clomid without doing enough testing to see if there are other issues going on.

How old are you? I know that sometimes even if the clomid can get you to ovulate pregnancy still can’t be achieved because of egg quality. Are they checking your progesterone after ovulation?

We TTC for 16 months and finally had to do IVF w/ ICSI to conceive, it is horribly difficult and emotional. I am so sorry that you have to go through this.

In my opinion, if you’ve been on clomid for 7 months with no luck it is time to ask your doctor about the next step.

Have they tested your husband? If he has decent counts, motility, and morphology then IUI could be very effective for you. IUI is **much** cheaper than IVF (I think around $1000 - $2000 where as IVF is about $12,000).

    Good Luck!

Are you being monitored on the clomid? I ask because it can cause the uterine lining to be thin which can actually make it harder for you to get pregnant or can increase the risk of miscarriage. If you got the clomid from your regular OB, You should probably see a reproductive endocrinologist at this point and have a full fertility workup. your husband should also be tested. The RE can advise you of the best course of treatment.
