Cramping during pregnancy?

I am around 4-5 weeks pregnant. I know it is normal to have a little cramping during a pregnancy, but how often do you cramp. For the past couple weeks i have cramped about everyday, and today not so much. Is it normal to cramp for a few days and then no cramping for a day or so. What causes this and has this happened to you? Thanks for any help.

I have had cramps a lot through out my pregnancy. In the beginning I had them probably everyday up until I was around 10 weeks.. They weren’t bad. And now I’ve had them again since about 25 weeks all the time. I’m 36 weeks now. The cramping can be caused by implantation still at the stage you’re at. It can be caused by the uterus stretching and getting bigger for the baby. It can also be round ligament pains. Its all totally normal as long as the cramps aren’t extremely painful and/or you’re not bleeding.

  1. This is insanity! Said,

yes its totally normal. Yes it happens every day for a while. Your uterus is expanding, the hormones re produce relax it- it irritates it. Its really sensitive and crampy. totally normal.

Completely normal. Many things can cause it, uterus expanding, body changing, and I got cramps because I didn’t drink enough for me and the baby. Good luck!

See your doctor so that you will be given some supplements for your cramps. Welcome your baby, be happy, talk and sing to him. Congratulations!
