Bleeding and Cramping during pregnancy!?

Im really Scared according to my Doc im 5 weeks 2days pregnant, days ago i started having cramping and light bleeding. I went to the doctor yesterday, she told me that everything looks fine, and that the bleeding and cramping could be normal. She said we have to wait and see. to just be optimistic. But she said to keep with my normal life and that there is nothing i could do to prevent a misscarige if its going to happend.
Today im still having light bleeding. I prey that everything is fine. But im so scared everytime i go to the restroom and find that im bleeding and cramping i start to cry. i raly want to have my baby.
Has this happend to anyone and still had there baby?
Hi, i went to the E.R on friday they said everything looked fine, then over the weekend i started to bleed heavy, little bit or cramps, im still bleeding as if im having my period, im so sad, i have and appt with my OB today, but i have a feeling it was a misscarrige, im bleeding to much. : (

I had a planned pregnancy that I desprately wanted too. Sadly, I experienced an ectopic a month ago-here's my experience:

On Feb 12th (at 5 weeks) I started with mild cramps and brown spotting. It went away for 2 days. On Feb 14th I had menstrual-style cramps and moderate red bleeding. They drew blood and my HcG was really low (81) and I was told that I was miscarrying. They monitored my HcG and it continued to rise, but not double. My bleeding stopped after about 4 days. I was hopeful that maybe they were wrong and I wasn't miscarrying.

On Feb 21, they did an sonogram and saw nothing in my uterus or tubes.

A few days later (Feb 24) the bleeding started again. The emergency room told me I was at the end of a miscarriage. My HcG was at 650.After a sonogram, they said my uterus was empty, not knowing much I went home. They missed something big.

Within 2 days of my first ER visit (Feb 26) I went to the ER again with SEVERE cramping on my left side. UNBEARABLE pain!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't emphasize that enough-it was the worst paine ever. My pregnancy always felt normal, then bleeding/cramping, then the stabbing pain. All in progression. My HcG was at 857 the day it ruptured. They did a sonogram and I was rushed into emergency surgery for an ectopic rupture.

If the HcG is rising and doubling every 2-3 days, that is a GREAT sign!

If it is dropping, you are most likely miscarrying.

If it is rising, but NOT doubling every 2-3 days, you most likely are ectopic.

HOPEFULLY everything is fine. Red blood will be a bad sign.

I was about 6 1/2 weeks when mine was discovered…I think the range is 5-8 weeks.

I wish you luck. If it gets worse, get to the ER overnight or this weekend. They will check your cervix to see if it is open or closed. CLOSED is a great sign. Good luck. Email me if you need any info or support. Good luck!

when i was around 4-5 weeks i got light bleeding too but it was just spotting its normal because it means the egg or fetus is attaching to the uterus…but when u have cramps it could mean something bad i didnt have cramps but u should look it up on google to make sure and get other doctors opinions just to be safe.

Yes it happened to me. I got real scared to and rushed myself to the doctor. Try to relax a little bit. Stress could be a good reason why you are cramping and bleeding. Not to mention some women have their period the whole time they are pregnant. Chances are the bleeding and cramping will go away. Try to relax a little bit remember stress isn't good for the baby either. Don't froget if something was wrong your doctor would probably out you on bed rest s just give it some time. I know it's hard but you will get through this and you and your baby will most likely end up healthy!

Bless your heart…please try not to worry too much. It happened to me, I went to the ER because it was on a Sat….they did an ultrasound and told me nothing! I was told to go home and put my feet up..see my gynecologist on monday. I went to my doctor and found out I had a "missed miscarriage"

I am not telling you this to make you worry, nor am I saying this is what is going on w/ you. Everyone is different! My advice to you is try to relax as much as possible. Stress isn't good for you or the baby. I will pray for you. Please come back and edit your question and keep us posted. Best of luck to you!!!!

unfortunatly this is true there isn't much you can do during the first trimester (unless you've been diagnosed with some kind of genetic or bleeding disorder) to prevent miscarriage. I would still rest, put my feet up don't lift anything heavy, don't smoke or drink or do drugs. Resting sometimes helps. I hope it all works out okay for you.

I'm thinking you don't have much to worry about. I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks and 1 day. I started spotting brownish blood with my discharge…sorry tmi…I did that for three days and had some very annoying cramps along with it. The brown blood stopped but I still cramp off and on. Nothing too serious, I don't have to take medicine or anything. It's just a little pain and it goes away. The spotting is the baby implanting in your uterus and your body adjusting to not having a period. And the cramping is the stretching of your ligaments that hold the uterus. It's getting ready for baby! So try not to stress out. Just be calm and hope for the best.
