i think im pregnant and i started spotting then followed by light bleeding i have read that sometime it does happen during pregnancy took a test cam out negative? im am confused ..can bleeding in early pregnancy cause a false negative?
Negative results on a test even when you are pregnant are just because they can’t pick up the hcg levels in your urine.
It’s because you’re testing too early, not if you’re bleeding or not.
It’s usually spotting so people assume it’s a period. Test too early then come up with a negative.

Well, if you’re bleeding and have a negative pregnancy test you’re likely starting your period and are not pregnant. Sometimes, however, it can be implantation bleeding and you are just testing too early. If you don’t get a full period, wait 3 or 4 days and try testing again. bleeding does not cause a false negative. Bleeding does not affect the outcome of a test, rather your hormones will affect the outcome of the test.

A false negative on a test would be caused my the level of hormone from the pregnancy not being enough to give you a positive yet.
Sometimes if you bleed it can led the person to believe that you have infact had your period but it does not trick the test b/c the test looks for the hcg hormone.

It depends on how much HCG is in your urine. If it is not enough at this point in time you will get a negative result. Or, it could be implantation bleeding. Not knowing how late you are with your period makes it hard to give an accurate answer. You could wait until you are actually later for your period and test again with first morning urine.

you could also be on your period or have had a mis - carriage, you can also bleed during implantation … but thats generally really light …however if it was because of implantation… it wont show up on a pregnancy test for another 3 weeks or so… take another test in a couple weeks …or doctors can do a blood test too.
