Once you get implantation bleeding, how far along are you in a pregnancy?

I’d like to know because im pretty much 100% sure that I am experiencing implantation bleeding, and im wondering how long I have been pregnant, and when can I test and get a positive result? Any help would be appreciated since this is a surprise and im new to this. thanks

It can take up to 7 days to get implantation bleeding after fertilization. As for calculating how far pregnant you would be you can take the first day of your last mentrual period and count forward (I know it’s weird but this is usually how they calculate how far along you are). If you are having implantation I would say you are probably around 3 weeks pregnant.

As for getting a test a HPT will probably still register negative at this point. you would need to wait at least another week and even then a negative result is possible.

If you want to know right away go for the blood test. It can detect minute amounts of HCG which you should already be producing. Good luck!

Implantation happens approximately seven days after fertilization (which may or may not be the day you had sex, as sperm can survive up to five days in the woman's body.)

A home pregnancy test can usually detect pregnancy hormone 3-4 days after implantation, but the earlier you do it, the more likely you have to have false negatives if you don't have enough pregnancy hormone in your body to register on the test but are in fact pregnant. You can get false negatives for up to five weeks.

Since you're pretty sure you're pregnant, I suggest seeing your doctor for a blood test instead. It's much more accurate, and is unlikely to give a false negative after 17 days from conception have passed.
