Its a fine line between what some women consider spotting or what some consider period-like bleeding, so for the purpose of this question I will use the term "period-like" bleeding. For the women who have experienced ANY time of bleeding during pregnancy, how long did it last (in terms of hours or days) and at what frequency (every month, every few days) and what was it like (different in color than a normal period, cramping, etc)
I deleted my first question and rephrased it
In the first month only I had different types. I had spotting which lasted for 3 days and brownish in color and not very mucus like but a brown dryish bleeding. i also did have a one day bight red heavy bleeding with one of my pregnancies but that was it.

the only time i did have anything down there like spotting or wutever it wuz after the obgyn chk ups…and the color wud be from bright red to brownish….last only 2 days or sumthing.

I bled once, I think I was 4 months along. It lasted for 2-4 hours, it was dark red and I had heavy cramping. It scared me pretty bad, but everything turned out fine. My son was born healthy at 41 weeks at just under 8 lbs.

I had light periods for the first 3 or 4 months (was 23 & 20 years ago so can't be sure) of each of my pregnancies, which I am pretty sure lasted about 3 days. I had no complications with either pregnancy.

With my last one I had light bleeding for 1 day at 7 weeks and again at 11 weeks. Everything was fine, and he's almost 4. The Dr. just told me to take it easy, and said that since my cervix was so engorged I may have just irritated it.

I bled my first month when my period should have come, for about 3 days (I normally bleed for 7) and it was as heavy as a normal period, with cramping, same color, same everything. I was convinced I had lost the baby, but I didn't!

I spotted off (a day or two on a day or two off)and on then bled then lost a baby
Had 2 friends with pretty serious spotting off and on, but not bleeding and they had healthy babies with low lying placenta as the cause of bleeding
Just saying it can go either way, dont give up or stress. that wont help.
