My husband and I are TTC, but I have irregular periods and quite frankly not sure when I ovulate. My last period was Nov 19th, skipped Dec and what is strange is I have spotted for four days then started heavier period-like bleeding yesterday without any cramps. I always have cramps every time I menstruate. I am seeing an OBGYN the 25 of Jan but would like to know if anyone of you had vaginal bleeding similar to a period In the first trimester and still went on to have a normal pregnancy and healthy baby. Thanks much.
Yes, I had. I was confirmed pregnant about 3-5 weeks along and called the obgyn because i was sitting on the couch and a sudden gush of blood came out and it scared me very much. It lasted several minutes and didnt occur again. They rushed me in thinking it was an etopic pregnancy but found out it wasnt, thank goodness though my friend went through a similar situation she had actually lost one of her twins. She didnt know prior she had twins and was glad she didnt lose both. My son was very healthy weighing over 8lbs and 22 inches long and he he now almost 20mos. and doing great. Good Luck in conceiving, if your not already pregnant! Hope this helped some!

I just found out last friday that i am pregnant, I should be around 4-5 weeks. For the last day or so i have been having mail period like cramps. Today i started bleeding. It’s like a light period and kind of pinkish red. I have been to the dr and he has just said rest until friday when i can have a scan to find out what’s what but that really doesn’t help the stress levels. Should I be panicking right about now? I am but i want to know if it’s probably as bad as i fear.
Some spotting is normal at the beginning of a pregnancy it is called implantation bleeding it can occur at different stages in pregnancy. Some women have it before they have had a missed period, some may have it during the time they should start, others may experience it a few weeks into the pregnancy and some may never have it. Implantation bleeding last about two days and is very light. Abdominal cramping can occur during pregnancy for several reasons some just related to begin pregnancy and stretching. Do what your DR says and rest. The thing about the scan is that you are 4-5 weeks Your baby’s heart isn’t beating yet. Your Dr may do labs to check your Hcg levels and the scan to see if the baby is still growing. Hcg levels is what makes a pregnancy test show positive. It increases until you are about 12 weeks then declines just a little and stays around that area until your pregnancy is over. Best wishes
Stress isn’t good for you at this time. I know it is scary I have been there. I wish you the best and try to relax.
