Ok i am 39 weeks to start off I havent had any complications this pregnancy as far as anything serious. I asked a question about losing the mucus plug yesterday. I have called the hospital and talked to the maternity nurses and theyve reassured they dont think its anything serios to have looked at right now. So heres the story…Friday morning I lost my mucus plug and had a little pink tinged color when i went to pee all day after that. Saturday morning i wake up and wiped 2 times and had spots of bright red blood and a little bright red blood in the toliet i also had some cramping and a backache all day long…sometimes it would hurt pretty bad and other times it would ease up. Last night I felt like I could possibly be having some contractions and they werent anything strong enough or consistent that i felt like i might have to go to the hospital…a warm bath made me feel ALOT better. I go to try to lay down and sleep and i have horrible cramping suddenly and then had diarrhea!!! After that i was finally able to go to sleep…no bleeding or anything happened during this time period. OK i wake up this morning and have pink tinged when i wipe and a little blood in the toilet…i try to look up causes of bleeding but all i can find is stuff about placental abruption and now im freaking out!! someone want to help me figure this out?
i have had 2 other babies but was induced with both and never had any of this happen to me at home with either of them.
id also like to say that my baby has been moving fine.
This happened with my first for a week before I had her. Drove me nuts! If you are seriously freaking out go get checked for peace of mind.
If it was placental abruption you would be bleeding really heavy (worse than a period) and the L&D nurse would have told you to call 911.
Good luck sounds like baby may be here any time.

I told my sister we’re TTC, and I have to admit, I feel awkward about it.
My mother has been talking about grandkids a lot lately, saying how she can’t wait to be a grandmother. I want to tell her we’re trying so I can get some information from her. I know she had great difficulty getting pregnant with me and my siblings.
It’s just that I’m worried about telling her for some reason. I don’t know why. It can’t be because of it being the whole sex thing, cause I am an adult and she already knows I’m sexual active. Plus, I’ve been with him for 7 years, so it’s not like its some short relationship.
Why do I feel so awkward about telling her? (Even though I want to)
Did you speak to your family about it?
Did you find you talked about TTC a lot, or was it awkward at all?
It’s sort of hard to keep to yourself because it is a huge part of your thought process until you do conceive and then it is all about the pregnancy. Maybe the reason you feel awkward is the "trying to" part. As though this is a test. You might be nervous about how long it will be before you can say "success!" Don’t put that kind of pressure on yourself. It will be exciting for your family members to know that you are looking to start a family. And your Mom might have some very valuable information for you. If you want to tell her, you should!
I did tell my mom and my sister and they were so excited!
Best wishes!!!!

Many women are nervous about doing anything that may harm their baby, but exercise is recommended for uncomplicated pregnancy women and it is a good idea to get some exercises everyday.
Moderate exercise is helpful because it improves the mother’s mental status and provide health benefits for the baby that include increasing oxygen flow to the fetus and decreasing risk of trauma for both baby and mother during birth. Some studies have shown that exercise can reduce the length of labour, shorten the recovery time, and even help with postpartum weight management.
The types of exercise that pregnant women should do are
Aerobic exercises such as swimming and walking. These exercises will increase the heart rate and pump oxygen and nutrients throughout the body.
Kegels exercises (Pelvic floor exercises). These exercises are very important because they decrease risk of tearing of the perineum during birth and help to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, which tend to loosen after labour. All the pregnant women need to do is squeeze their pelvic muscles for a few minutes everyday.
Flexibility exercise such as yoga that is the good way to improve the flexibility and this type of exercise is very popular in pregnant women. However, not all Yoga exercises are safe for pregnant women. Look for a prenatal Yoga class that is tailored to pregnant moms.
There are recognized contraindications for exercising during pregnant such as incompetence cervix, intrauterine growth retardation, pregnancy induced hypertension, preterm labour (during previous pregnancy), early contractions, vaginal bleeding and premature rupture of the membranes.
What should the pregnant women be careful about?
Avoid exercising at extreme altitude or in hot, humid environments because it is critical that the pregnant women become overheated.
Drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration.
Avoid activities that increase the risk of falls or injury, such as contact sports or vigorous sports.
 Avoid long periods of standing.
Avoid contact sports and activities that quickly change the center of gravity.
Wear good exercise shoes to help support the back and ankles.
Before starting any exercise program, the pregnant women should first discuss their plans with their doctor and have regular appointments with their health care provider.
What problems should the pregnant women tell their doctor about?
 Shortness of breath
 Severe headache
 Dizziness
 Dim or blurry vision
Sudden or severe abdominal or vaginal pain
Contractions that go on for 30 minutes.
 Chest pain and palpitation.
Blood or fluid coming from the vagina
 Muscle weakness
 Calf pain or swelling
 Decreased movement of the baby

Exercising during pregnancy
Pregnancy can be a challenging phase for your spouse. Maintaining a healthy posture will help her keep back problems away. An exercise routine will especially help her to keep fit. Your spouse can begin an exercise routine even if she has never really exercised before. Walking, swimming, pre-natal yoga, and simple aerobics are ideal forms of exercise during pregnancy.
These are some of the things your spouse may need to remember if she is starting an exercise routine:
â¢All exercise programs should be begun gradually. Starting with about 15 minutes, three to four days a week is sufficient.
⢠She should resist the temptation to overdo it.
â¢She should avoid jogging, unless she used to jog regularly before her pregnancy.
â¢She should avoid doing sit-ups and other exercises, which involve lying on the back as they may decrease blood flow to the uterus.
â¢Exercises that involve standing in the same place for long periods can also decrease blood flow to the baby. It is better to keep moving or changing positions frequently.
â¢She should avoid strenuous forms of exercise, such as riding a bike.
â¢She should wear loose comfortable clothing and avoid overheating.
â¢She must drink adequate amounts of water to avoid dehydration.
â¢She should eat healthy foods to make up for calories lost during exercise.
â¢If, after exercise, she notices symptoms such as fatigue, pain, nausea, vaginal bleeding or discharge, or pelvic contractions, she should contact her doctor immediately.
