I am just coming up on 11 weeks pregnant and I seem to be having a lot of difficulty emptying my bladder properly when I go to the loo. I feel like I’m absolutely bursting to go, and then when I do there is like a tiny trickle. Usually I then need to go again about 10-15mins later, and often more comes out that time.
The problem is particularly bad at night and first thing in the morning when I get up after laying down a long while. I’m pretty much okay during the day time, which is what makes me think it probably isn’t a UTI. I tend to sleep on my side and very rarely lie on my back, if that has any relevance.
Can anyone help and tell me is this normal or should I make a GP appointment?
Thanks for answers so far. I know this common in later pregnancy, but just wondered if anyone else had it early on like me. Just realised I have my first midwife appointment on Tuesday so I will speak to her. Thanks again ladies. xx
Yep…its normal…I had it too at the same point in my pregnancy. I went to get it checked out and was told its the pressure of the uterus on your bladder which causes you to not be able to empty fully or to feel like you gotta go bad, but really you dont. Try leaning forward to pee. I found it helped me empty better. It eased up for me after that when my uterus rose above my pubic bone, but then it came back again near the end and it sucks!

I am having episodes where I become very dizzy and weak, and feel like I’m going to fall over, these are usually accompanied by difficulty catching my breath. But I’m fit and never had problems before. Has anyone had this problem, and if so, what helps? I’m carrying twin girls.
no its not normal i would call your dr / on call and notify them of that. My sister had some spells like that when she was pregnant w/ my neice. If I remember correctly she had became a case hyper tension and slighlty anemic. so i would talk to your dr when you can.

So i posted a question when i thought that i was pregnant about a month a go. I took two tests since then and both where negative. In my fmaily we have had a history of difficulty getting pregnant, and not knowing when you are, also many serious female issues.Which makes me really worried that i could be one of those women who test negative for a really long time, also i have been having some bleeding very unlike my normal period. I have read that some woman have a period like bleeding while they are pregnant. I know that everyone is going to say go to the doctors, but heres my problem. I am terrified of how my parents will react. That sounds really dumb i know, but my mother is exstemly chatholic and stuck in 1930. She thinks that its absolutly horrible that two mature 19 year olds have protected sex…she thinks that i would go to hell. Due to a loss in my family i ubruptly left work and spent about four days away from my home which was completly unplanned and my pills where at home. my pills where the last thing on my mine and i did not exspect that i would not have gone home that day after work. So i can’t go the doctors, and my back kills me when ever i stand and i get nause after or during eating, i cry over everything and i am bloated about 95% of the time, i know that something is wrong with my body. Could i be pregnant?
To me, it just sounds like there have been stresses in your life lately that have caused your cycle to be different from normal. You said there was a loss in your family, and that you’re crying 95% of the time. That constant stress could be delaying and changing the way your period is. And you also said you’ve tested twice, both negative. From my prespective, it sounds like you’ll be just fine, minus a need for a good day at the spa, or something else relaxing
However, I can see where medical attention can be needed.
You are 19 girlie. You have the right to consult a doctor, and not have your parents find out.
Go to Planned Parenthood or your local Health clinic.
They’ll help you out.
Good Luck <3
