¿Qué es el ultrasonido transvaginal o endovaginal y en que casos se recomienda?
En este caso, una sonda o transductor adecuado, se introduce en la vagina para obtener imágenes más claras y confiables, ya que por vía abdominal en muchas ocasiones interfieren gases intestinales, material fecal, contextura del paciente o por la imposibilidad de retener la orina, principalmente en pacientes ancianos.
El médico puede solicitar este tipo de ultrasonido por indicaciones tanto ginecológicas o del embarazo. También lo puede sugerir el radiólogo, dependiendo de los hallazgos obtenidos con el ultrasonido abdominal.

Definition: Transvaginal ultrasound is a type of pelvic ultrasound. It is used to look at a woman’s reproductive organs, including the uterus, ovaries, cervix, and vagina. Transvaginal means across or through the vagina.
How the Test is Performed:
You will lie down on a table with your knees bent and feet in holders called stirrups. The health care provider will place a probe, called a transducer, into the vagina. The probe is covered with a condom and a gel. The probe sends out sound waves, which reflect off body structures. A computer receives these waves and uses them to create a picture. The doctor can immediately see the picture on a nearby TV monitor.
The health care provider will move the probe within the area to see the pelvic organs. This test can be used during pregnancy.
In some cases, a special transvaginal ultrasound method called saline infusion sonography (SIS), also called sonohysterography or hysterosonography, may be needed to more clearly view the uterus.
This test requires saline (sterile salt water) to be placed into the uterus before the ultrasound. The saline helps outline any abnormal masses, so the doctor can get a better idea of their size.
SIS is not done on pregnant women.
How to Prepare for the Test: You will be asked to undress, usually from the waist down. A transvaginal ultrasound is done with your bladder empty.
How the Test Will Feel
The test is usually painless, although some women may have mild discomfort from the pressure of the probe. Only a small part of the probe is placed into the vagina.
Why the Test is Performed
Transvaginal ultrasound can help diagnose the cause of certain types of infertility, pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, and menstrual problems. It can show the lining of the uterus (endometrium). The test may reveal:
Ovarian cysts
Ovarian tumors
Pelvic infection
Uterine fibroids
Uterine lining polyps
Thickened uterine lining in cases of postmenopausal bleeding
Transvaginal ultrasound is also used during pregnancy to monitor the growth of the fetus, listen to the unborn baby’s heart beat, and to check for ectopic pregnancy and other potential problems.

The root cause of why some people get acne and some do not is not fully known. It is known to be partly hereditary. Several factors are known
to be linked to acne:

* Family/Genetic history. The tendency to develop acne runs in families. For example, school-age boys with acne often have other members in their family with acne as well. A family history of acne is associated with an earlier occurrence of acne and an increased number of retentional acne lesions.
* Hormonal activity, such as menstrual cycles and puberty. During puberty, an increase in male sex hormones called androgens cause the glands to get larger and make more sebum.
* Inflammation, anti-inflammatories are known to improve acne
* Stress, through increased output of hormones from the adrenal (stress) glands, although modern tests have said otherwise and point to this not being a cause.
* Hyperactive sebaceous glands, secondary to the
three hormone sources above.
* Accumulation of dead skin cells.
* Bacteria in the pores. Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes) is the anaerobic bacterium that causes
acne. In-vitro resistance of P. acnes to commonly used antibiotics has been increasing.
* Skin irritation or scratching of any sort will activate inflammation.
* Use of anabolic steroids.
* Any medication containing halogens (iodides, chlorides, bromides), lithium, barbiturates, or androgens.
* Exposure to certain chemical compounds. Chloracne is particularly linked to toxic exposure to dioxins,
namely Chlorinated dioxins.

Several hormones have been linked to acne: the androgens testosterone, dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and
dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAS), as well as insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-I). In addition, acne-prone skin has been shown to be insulin resistant.

Development of acne vulgaris in later years is uncommon, although this is the age group for Rosacea which may have similar appearances. True acne vulgaris in adult women may be a feature of an underlying condition such as pregnancy and disorders such as polycystic ovary
syndrome or the rare Cushing’s syndrome. Menopause-associated acne occurs as production of the natural anti-acne ovarian hormone estradiol fails at menopause. The lack of estradiol also causes thinning hair, hot flashes, thin skin, wrinkles, vaginal dryness, and predisposes to osteopenia and osteoporosis as well as triggering acne (known as acne climacterica in this situation).

Sorry I havent posted in a while. I’ve Been Busy and I’ve Had Writer’s Block. So…Here’s Chapter 13!!!!

*Ashley’s POV*
*It’s been about three weeks since Lila was born. And Kevin and I have gotten absolutely NO sleep. Having her is amazing, but I just wish we could get more sleep. The entire birth experience was indescribeble. As in it was more than horrible. Kevin’s parents are still getting used to having a grandchild. But they’ve warmed up to me. We were at a party, at Haylee’s house to celebrate Emily’s birthday. Everyone was there. Including all of Kevin’s family.*
Kevin-Hey Ashley *I heard him call from the living room. I walked in. He had Lila in his arms. She was screaming.*
Ashley-Yeah?
Kevin-Can you take her? I think she’s hungry.
Ashley-Yeah sure. *I took Lila from Kevin. As I was leaning in to get her, Kevin quickly kissed me on the cheek.*
Ashley-What was that for?
Kevin-I don’t know. I just felt like it. *He smiled at me. I smiled back. I grabbed a bottle from the diper bag and fed Lila. Kevin got up from where he was sitting and we walked into the kitchen where everyone was eating Emily’s bitrthday cake. I looked down at Lila. She was still eating. I loved her so much. Joe, Jessie, Nick, Haylee, and Emily walked over to us when they were done with their cake.*
Nick-Hey guys.
Jessie-How’s it goin? You know with the whole parent thing.
Ashley-It’s really really difficult. I’ll tell you that. Don’t get pregnant until you’re ready.
Haylee-Well, we know that Ash.
Ashley-Yeah. *I looked down at Lila again. She was sleeping now.*
Ashley-Kevin, do you wanna take her?
Kevin-Yeah. Absolutely. *Kevin gently took her from my arms. He walked into the living room with her. Nick and Joe followed. I turned back to the girls.*
Emily-Let’s go upstairs. We wanna talk to you. *She said looking at me.*
Ashley-Okay. *Jessie, Haylee, and Emily started walking upstairs. I followed. We got upstairs and went into Haylee’s room. When we got in there, Jessie and I sat on a little couch and Haylee and Emily sat on the bed. That’s when a tear ran down my cheek.*
Haylee-Ash, are you okay?
Jessie-Why are you crying?
Ashley-I don’t know. I guess…it’s all just too overwhelming.
Emily-What is?
Ashley-Having Lila. Dealing with it all. And lately, Kevin and I have been fighting more. I can’t do this.
Jessie-Yeah you can. You just have to get through this. You’ll get used to it. *I stopped crying a little.*
Ashley-Yeah. I guess you’re right. *We sat there for a few more minutes, then decided to go back downstairs.*

I have had the shot for 11 months now and still bleeding. It's only here and there now but I'm having pregnancy symptoms and the test is negative. I have 3 kids already so I can tell if I'm pregnant. Should I go in for a blood test or what. Im the only person I know that has bled for this long.

you are more than likely not pregnant. Everyones body reacts differently to different birth control methods. The depo shot is a pretty fail proof method of birth control as long as you get your shot on time every 3 months.

my wife is 3 month twin pregnant yesterday she found heavy bleeding doctor gave medicines and she is not confident she is telling all abt negitie points can any one answer my question
