Can being really constipated cause really bad cramping during pregnancy. Yesterday I was really worried, cuz I had severe bloating and cramping all day. I felt just horrible. but I still felt baby moving around, so I figured it was probably ok. but I was in a lot of pain. I hadn't had a bowel movement in about two days or so. Could that have caused my bad cramping. Any one have experiences with that. I always worry when I cramp up that bad. Thanks for any advice. Im 20 weeks pregnant.
Constipation causes a lot of discomfort all the time, not just during pregnancy.

In terms of constipation, make sure you eat a lot of fiber, leafy green veggies, whole grain breads. Take a fiber supplement if you like. This helps create bulk in the large intestine, which will avoid constipation. Above all, drink LOTS of water. That is good for you, for the baby and it helps avoid constipation, as well.
