Super Cod Liver Oil, 90 Softgels, From Natural Factors

Super Cod Liver Oil, 90 Softgels, From Natural Factors

Cod Liver Oil is an excellent source of preformed vitamins A and D. It is especially useful for individuals with digestive problems since they may have difficulty converting Beta Carotene (provitamin A) into vitamin A. Vitamin A: a fat soluble vitamin, known to promote healing by stimulating the immune system. It benefits the eyes as well as soft tissue. Vitamin D: the sunshine vitamin, is also fat soluble and acts as a hormone to assist the body’s absorption and utilization of calcium. It helps bones and teeth, stabilizes the nervous system and helps cardiovascular system, muscles and many body organs. Although fish liver oils are excellent sources of preformed vitamin A, they should not be relied on as a source of Essential Fatty Acids such as DHA and EPA since they contain only trace amounts. You would consume too much vitamin A and D before getting the required amounts of Essential Fatty Acids. Excellent sources of Essential Fatty Acids are Omega Factors (Omega-3, 6, 9), Evening Primrose Oil (omega-6), Flaxseed Oil (primarily omega-3) and fish oils (omega-3), i.e. Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil, Tuna Oil, Learning Factors. Essential Fatty Acids may be taken daily along with cod liver oil. Natural Factors uses advanced molecular distillation processing methods to project the cod liver oil while ensuring that there is no heavy metal or chemical contamination. Although cod liver oil is an excellent source of preformed vitamin A and vitamin D, if you have liver disease check with a qualified health professional before taking it. Pregnant women should not take more than 5000 IU of vitamin A daily.

Chronic hypertension and sex in pregnancy?

I have chronic hypertension and am 19 weeks pregnant. I am being treated by my OB with Labetalol and procardia. Does anyone know if its safe to have sex? My husband and I haven’t done anything since I became pregnant.

if the dr didn’t advise you not to have sex, i wouldn’t worry about it. To be safe you can always call on monday and ask your nurse. Good luck!! I am on my 19th week too!!

I found out today that I have high blood pressure and possibly preeclampsia?

I am nearly 40 weeks. Did you have any side effects from preeclampsia. They took my blood today, so I should find out tomorrow if they are going to induce. This is my fourth. I never had it with any of the others. Thanks for your insights.

I had it with my first

side effects can include
high blood pressure
lots of swelling in face, hands, feet
head aches
blurred vision
protein in urine

I only had high bp, swelling and small amount of protein in urine

preeclampsia can cause seizures in mom, kidney problems and other problems

only cure is for the baby to be born…. after delivery the mom’s body usually returns to normal

I had to be induced.. they gave me pitocin and a magnesium sulfate drip… the magnesium sulfate drip is to prevent seizures due to high blood pressure… it makes you feel sluggish, tired, groggy and miserable… [sorry can't be more upbeat about it]
if on magnesium you also have to lay down in bed making labor harder because gravity isn’t there to assist… [if you can try to sit up at least to help progress labor]

i had to stay on the magnesium 24 hrs after birth and was not allowed to be alone in room with baby until magnesium drip was stopped because the magnesium is muscle relaxer

but ask you dr how he is going to induce? how bad your preeclampsia is?

good luck hope your experience is better than mine

Did anyone get pregnant immediately after an?

HSG was done (not sure of the medical term..but it's when they inject dye into your uterus to look for any abnormalities)..after performing the HSG…the doctor told me that statistically a women who has had difficulty getting pregnant will get pregnant…because if there is nothing medically wrong ..like fibroids, cysts or blocked fallopian tubes…. the dye will clean out the "gunk" that a women has accumulated in her utuerus. So he suggested I have sex right away. Was that true for anyone!!
Apparantely …the "gunk"that has accumulated in our utuerus can become a barrier ..which in turn can slow down the sperm from reaching the egg… or block the sperm entirely.t

I had a friend that took that and worked for her! You might get lucky!!!! Good luck!! Baby dust~~~~
